This upcoming year at Impact Society, we have many opportunities planned to strengthen our programs and organization, ultimately impacting thousands of more youth. That’s what everything is really about: impacting youth. With exciting opportunities including higher First Nations engagement to working beyond Alberta in the Toronto School Board and Yukon education system, to a new line up of amazing ambassadors for the Meet a Hero program, to innovative approaches planned in events and fundraising, our team is excited of what’s in store.
Opportunities exist in eight school boards provincially and nationally, to impact ten of thousands of youth, but we need the robust systems and additional personell to do this well. The good news is as we are growing, our per student cost is shrinking. For the price of what it cost to impact 12,500 youth in the country, we will have the capacity to impact 25,000 youth.
The results are very encouraging – a recent student survey showed that after taking the HEROES® course:
These youth are confident, they treat themselves and others with respect, they do not bully and they recognize why education and contribution is important. This is why we do what we do.
If you want to be part of an organization leading youth to discover themselves, who they are and what is great about them, we are that group. We invite your investment, as the opportunities in front of us are encouraging, but our staff is small and stretched to the limit. In fact, at our recent HEROES Awards & Appreciation Reception, one of our board members has put out a challenge to donors. He will match up to $30,000 of donations received by the end of December. This is a great two-for-one opportunity.
If you wish to contribute to the positive change in the lives of youth, please make your donation here and we gratefully welcome your support.
