Focus on builidng confidence, character, integrity and a sense of purpose with Heroes.

The Heroes program is a social-emotional skill building program that equips youth with tools proven to enhance their capacity for resilience. By building their inner strengths, resilience, and decision-making skills, youth feel more confident navigating life’s challenges and taking healthy risks.

Research shows that building positive capacity in youth requires four dimensions of strength-based learning: feeling, thought, behaviour and conviction. The Heroes program implements these dimensions by making students feel valued and safe, inspiring them to foster their own motivational thoughts and to think optimistically about their future. It provides them with experiential learning exercises to practice new skills and insights into positive peer-to-peer interaction and behaviour.

We’ve updated the Heroes program to be trauma-informed, featuring a new self-authoring chapter for your students. Learn about trauma-informed care here.

the outcome of the heroes program is:

Purposeful youth who are confident and who actualize the positive behaviour learned throughout Heroes to continue to positively impact themselves and the world around them.

Heroes programs create a safe environment within the classroom and beyond.

harmehar’s story

“At the very least, people need to know that Heroes is a life skills program, an essential life skills program. But at the most, it can encourage groups of students to have more courage and have more faith in themselves as they move forward in this life.”

Harmehar Dhillon was in the 8th grade when she was introduced to the Heroes program. Just 12 years old at the time, Harmehar was struggling with self-image, healthy friendships, and the fear of failure.

Today, Harmehar is a recent university graduate pursuing her dream of becoming a lawyer. She credits the Heroes program for encouraging her the make the changes necessary for her to live a flourishing life.

Heroes programs are proactive in nature, providing young people with the tools to live and lead from their gifts & abilities, enhancing their capacity to experience long-term purpose and significance.
