funding overview

The Viewpoint Foundation has been a steadfast supporter of Impact Society dating back to 2020. Prior support included a 2020 project revolving around Impact Society’s Theory of Change and a 2021-22 redevelopment of Heroes 2 which has since wrapped up, opening the doors to new initiatives. This gift agreement involves a multi pronged-approach that requested support on the following projects:

  • The goal of the capacity to thrive project is to increase the capacity of Impact Society to provide youth and families across Alberta with the tools needed to build the mental health and resilience required to navigate modern challenges. This plan aims to improve financial sustainability while supporting the organizational transformation in developing and implementing Heroes programs for a broader and more diverse audience. These funds will help in addressing workplace gaps, while ultimately, supporting the critical need for youth mental health resources over the span of the next three years.

  • This project supports the creation of Impact Society’s new Heroes Hub ranging from the early research and development stage to the launch of the platform. This new platform will be an all encompassing location for educators to access training, program materials, lesson reviews, facilitation assistance, as well as the ability to contact the Impact team and connect with other Heroes facilitators.

  • In addition to the Heroes Hub development, this gift agreement will cover the program costs for 1,100 students across Alberta expanding accessibility to mental health resources in the province.
